A set of super lightweight and durable alloy tire lever

Tire lever is the tool when using to install/remove the tire to/from the rim to help your power.
ATL comes with 3 pcs. It's made of forged light alloy to be super lightweight and durable.

The top section for hooking the tire bead is thin forged to enable to insert between the tire and rim easily. Also no sharp edge to prevent scratching the tube.

The handle part has a cut out for hooking the spoke to keep the tire bead removed.

Purpose-1

To remove the tire

The ordinary Q/O spec tire is made of rubber tire and wire bead. Wire bead is usually made of stainless steel or Kevlar. It works to hold the tire in the rim properly and stably by hooking the wire to the inside groove on the rim.
Wire bead diameter is always a little smaller than the rim diameter, therefore we need strong power to remove the tire from the rim, and it is usually impossible to do by hand only. Tire lever helps this job as a strong finger.

Wire bead diameter and rim diameter are all different. The tighter combination, the stronger power requires. Sometimes, a plastic tire lever gets broken. But metal tire lever like ATL is more durable than plastic one.

Purpose-2

To remove the glue on tubular tire

There is another spec on bike tire; tubular. Tire and tube are separated on W/O, but tubular is combined with tire and tube in one piece (Tubular is different from Tubeless tire). Tubular doesn't have bead so it is glued on the rim.

On the first time to install a tubular tire on a brand-new rim is no problem, but when you need to change the tire, you must remove the old glue before gluing new tire in order to expect perfect installation.
Metal tire lever is durable to help this job easier.

Important Notices

  • The tip of ATL is safely rounded so it won't give damage to the tube. However, it could be possible to pinch the tube and get a hole when hooking up the bead. Make sure you hook the tire only.
  • Place the bead closer to the rim edge as much as you can. If there is unnecessary distance between the bead and rim edge, it requires too much force and the tire lever may break even if it's a metal one.
  • Metal tire lever is harder than carbon rim. It's not recommended to use ATL on carbon rim to prevent damage or scratch.
  • ATL is not anodized, it's just polished. So it is possible to get rust if you leave ATL in wet condition. Wipe any moisture from ATL to store.
  • Light alloy is the material which doesn't accept re-bending. If ATL has been bent, replace to a new one.
