Bike storage stand by lifting up front wheel
DS-4000 is a space saving bike storage stand that holds the front wheel in cradle.
Bike will be angled approximately 60 degrees that can save the parking space a lot.
DS-4000 comes with 3 wheel cradles. Each cradle is position adjustable and swivel. By adding extra cradle (optional) you can mount up to 5 bikes alternately.
The tire is supported at 3 points. It's different from the system found on DS-110R type stand that touches the spokes and may scratch them.
The wheel cradle is originally designed to be capable with fat MTB tire (up to 2.35"), so it is too wide against the narrower road wheel and the bike won't be able to be supported at correct angle.
To solve this problem, each cradle has an adaptor that can be installed on the cradle frame. It keeps the narrow road tire in position.
The bar height is adjustable in 3 positions to fit your bike size.

Easy Standing
Just inserting front wheel in cradle
You can stand the bikes in the lifted up style by just inserting the front wheel into the cradle.
It's not possible to set the bike upside down (the front wheel is lower than the rear wheel), because the front wheel is not fixed to the frame then will have to bend.
Each cradle is position adjustable and swivel. Depends on the bike layout, you can set up to 5 bikes in just 1 meter length bar (for this layout, you need to add two more optional cradles).
By setting the bikes angled, not right angle to the bar, the handlebars won't hit each other then you can minimize the storage space.
The front wheel cradle's inner width is 52 mm to be capable with the tire size up to 2.35" tire.
It's too wide to the narrow 700c tire and the bike won't stand vertically. To avoid this problem, each cradle has a retractable adaptor to guide the bottom of the narrow tire in the center of cradle.

Height adjustable to fit the bike size
The top bar holding the cradles is height adjustable in 3 positions between 740 and 880 mm.
If you hook a small bike in the standard position, it will have to be unstable like hanging down. To make the bike stable, you need to change the bar height lower.
Cradle doesn't have any height adjustment mechanism, so all cradles must sit in the same level. Independently adjustment is impossible.
Cautions
Important Notices
- Front wheel must be upward. If you place the bike upside down, the front wheel will have to be steered and cannot support the bike.
- You can minimize the bike storage space by setting the bikes angled, but this style will have to decrease the stability. The best angle is the right angle to the bar.
- Sand-black powder coat painting is very durable, but it doesn't mean it won't get rust.
- The foot cap is made of elastomer so it may stain to floor depends on the floor finish. To avoid this problem, you should place a thin paper sheet between the cap and floor.
