Light holder for suspension fork

It's a good idea to mount a head light on the stanchion tube of suspension fork if you need a light but you don't wish the have it on handlebar and your bike is equipped with suspension fork.

Stainless band clip for Besso is the specially longer one. It accepts up to 38mm (1-3/8") diameter so it fits most suspension forks.

A similar device to have a room for light is available in the market. It's installed on the front axle instead of acorn nut.
But if you have hit something to this device, the front axle will be damaged and the hitting shock may cause serious accident. Also it could be possible that the nut becomes loosened due to the vibration while riding.

The body of Besso is made of glass wool reinforced nylon to resist against UV and rain.
The body diameter is 22mm (7/8") to accept every light for mounting on handlebar.

Benefit on Stanchion Mount System

Rather than making the handlebar area clean, mounting light closer to ground can increase the actual brightness even with same light.

The negative point is that the shadow will have to become longer because of low position, but it can be considered as you can find out the blockade earlier.

Applicable Fork Design

If the stainless band clip has been loosened, Besso may be caught in the spokes on wheel and you will have serious accident.
We strongly recommend you not to install on any tapered fork, thin oval or rectangle dimension forks. Besso is only for round dimension suspension stanchion.

To avoid any possible problems and accidents, we strongly recommend you to install Besso in the position as close to the hub as possible. The spoke distance is much closer in this area and we can expect Besso will be punched out even if it's loosened.

Cautions

Important Notices

  • Do not apply any shock to Besso during any operation. We recommend you to install Besso on the opposite side from pavement to escape from any possible troubles.
  • Do not install Besso on the inner tube of inverted suspension fork.
  • Check if the stainless band is firmly tightened every time before you ride.
